Warranty registration

    What is Warranty all-inclusive?
With the wide range of services that are part of our Warranty all-inclusive1, your new Festool tool is fully covered during the first three years, allowing you to concentrate on what really matters: Your work. To benefit from the "Full repair, free of charge"2, "Replaced in the event of theft" and "Original parts guaranteed" services, you must register your tool free of charge within the first 30 days of purchase/delivery.
My new place of residence is in a different country. Am I still entitled to the Warranty all-inclusive?
The offers and range of services from MyFestool and the Warranty all-inclusive1 depend on your place of residence (not on the country in which you purchased the machine) and may therefore vary from country to country. The services available in your country can be found in the MyFestool Terms and Conditions of Use and in the warranty conditions on the relevant Festool website for your country. You can find an overview of all countries at www.festool.com after selecting the country required.
Do I have to pay to register for Warranty all-inclusive?
No, registration is free of charge. The only requirement: You must register your tool for Warranty all-inclusive1 within 100 days of purchase. However, please note that for theft processing, costs may arise for the excess, and other costs in the case of a repair, (e.g. decontamination fee for H extractors).
How can I register my tool for Warranty all-inclusive?

The registration for the Warranty all-inclusive1 can still only be done by you as a customer, from 1st January 2021, exclusively in MyFestool. Please note that your dealer can no longer register the tool on your behalf. You can easily register your tool online in your MyFestool account within the first 100 days of purchase/delivery. You can access MyFestool via our website or the Festool apps.

    Registering via the website:

Fill out the form in the following fields: Part number and serial number (you can find these details on the accompanying warranty card or on your machine's name plate), date of purchase/delivery (you can only enter a date here that is max. 100 days after purchase/delivery. Please enter the date specified on your proof of purchase or delivery note.). Upload your invoice/delivery note (please note the file size and format), enter your dealer's details (optional) and complete your details if required.
    4. You have successfully registered your machine and can download the warranty certificate in the machine overview at any time.

Registering via the Festool Work App:

    1. Or use the Festool Work App (available for Android and iOS).
    2. Log into MyFestool to do so.
    3. Scan the barcode of your newly purchased machine or scan the barcode on the warranty card accompanying your machine or connect to a Bluetooth®-enabled tool, take a photograph of the invoice or delivery note, upload these and start taking advantage of the benefits provided by our "Warranty all-inclusive".
    4. You have successfully registered your machine and can download the warranty certificate in the machine overview at any time.
Why do I have to register my machine myself and why can't my dealer do this for me (any more)?
At Festool, we take data privacy seriously. We have therefore taken the decision that you must complete the warranty registration yourself so that you can decide how your data is processed. That is why from January 2021 you have the option to register the warranty for your tools exclusively in MyFestool. In this way, we are protecting you and your personal data by preventing your data from being forwarded to us without your knowledge, but we are also protecting the trade partner by preventing them from incorrectly handling your data and, of course, we are also protecting ourselves by preventing your data from being sent to us without your consent. In MyFestool, you always have full control, not only of your personal data, but also your Festool tools.
How long do I have to register my tool?
You have 100 days after purchase/delivery to register your tool for Warranty all-inclusive1.
What do I need to register my tool?
For this, you need the part and serial number of your machine, as well as the proof of purchase/delivery note and a MyFestool account.
Why do I have to upload an invoice/delivery note in order to register for the warranty?
Uploading an invoice is one of the conditions for obtaining the warranty. This is described as such in the warranty conditions. In accordance with the warranty conditions, registration is possible within 30 days of purchase/delivery; registration is not possible at a later date. In order to be able to match the purchase/delivery date, uploading a valid invoice or delivery note is required, as specified in the warranty conditions. The purchased Festool tool and the date on the invoice/delivery note are crucial for us to check; you may obscure other details, such as the customer number, price, etc.
Will I receive confirmation after registering for Warranty all-inclusive?
Yes, you will receive a confirmation e-mail, can view your guarantee certificate at any time after purchase in your MyFestool area and can also download it for long-term documentation.
Does Warranty all-inclusive apply to all Festool products?
Warranty all-inclusive applies to all Festool tools and other selected products, such as battery packs and chargers. If there is a warranty card enclosed in the Systainer or box of your product, you can register the device for Warranty all-inclusive. You can also find out whether registration is possible by reading the product function descriptions on our website. 1
How can I register individual battery packs/chargers for warranty?
Battery packs and chargers are accessories, but are still covered by our Warranty all-inclusive1. Battery packs and chargers cannot be registered via our online form for warranty. In the event of a warranty claim, we require a copy of your proof of purchase.
I received my machine as a gift. Can I register it?
To register for Warranty all-inclusive1, you will need the original proof of purchase/delivery note as proof. In addition, registration should take place no later than 100 days from purchase/delivery.
I bought my machine second-hand. Can I register it?
Warranty registration is available exclusively for tools purchased from a Festool dealer. If the used machine had already been registered by its previous owner and is still within the warranty, you can request that we carry over the warranty. To do so, you will need a copy of the warranty certificate or the reference number which can be found on it.
I can't find my registered machine(s) in the tool overview. What should I do?
Generally, you should be able to see all tools registered for warranty and their warranty periods in the tool overview. If, however, you cannot see a registered machine in the overview, this is for the following reason: If you registered a tool in the past without a MyFestool account, or if your dealer registered the machine on your behalf, the machine will not appear in the overview. If a tool is missing from the overview, please contact our Festool customer hotline via our contact form so that we can carry over your machine registration to your new MyFestool account.

    Full repair, free of charge

Are there exceptions, to which the service does not apply?
Yes. These are exceptions that can be traced reliably – for example, if the tool is destroyed deliberately or used continuously in industrial applications. Please refer to our Warranty Terms and Conditions for all exceptions.
What am I entitled to if I have not registered my tool for Warranty all-inclusive?
As a commercial user, you are entitled to a 12-month statutory warranty, and as a private user you are entitled to a 24-month statutory warranty. This applies to material and manufacturing faults, which existed already at the time of delivery of our product. Please note that wear is excluded from the statutory warranty. Therefore, you should always register your tool for Warranty all-inclusive. Registration is free of charge! 1
Will I be given a quotation for a repair?
Thanks to Warranty all-inclusive, quotations and invoices for repairs are a thing of the past within the first three years of ownership.2 The only requirement: You must register your tool for Warranty all-inclusive within the first 100 days of purchase.1 Upon expiry of the guarantee, you can request a quotation for any repair work.
Which parts and faults are covered by this service?
Material and manufacturing faults, including spare and wear parts (in particular carbon brushes, ball bearings, rubber sleeves, battery packs, battery pack chargers, sealing rings, fixed cables and switches) as well as the labour required. For an overview of all spare and wear parts, see our spare parts catalogue. All parts marked with "Yes" in the "Warranty" column will be replaced free of charge.2

Replaced in the event of theft

I've missed the 5-day deadline. Will I still receive a replacement device?
Unfortunately not. We can only offer this service if you adhere to our deadlines.
My tool was stolen from the construction site/my car. Will I still receive a replacement?
Even if your device is stolen from a vehicle or construction site, within the first three years of purchase you will receive a brand new device for an excess fee of 125 € net (excl. VAT). For products in the Power Station product category, a variable excess of 1.000 € net (excl. VAT) shall apply.
Is my replacement device also covered fully by all Warranty all-inclusive services?
Warranty all-inclusive will be transferred to your replacement device for the remaining term of the agreement for the stolen tool. So if your tool was stolen after two years, for example, your replacement device will only be covered by Warranty all-inclusive for the remaining year. In this case, we will register the device for you and you can view or download your new warranty certificate in your personal MyFestool area. As each tool can only benefit from theft protection once, this service will not be provided for the replacement device. 1
What do I have to do if my tool has been stolen?
The most important thing is that you meet the applicable deadlines. You must report your tool as stolen to the police immediately after the theft. Then submit the police complaint notice and your warranty certificate to your dealer within five days. Once we have checked the case, we will send the new device to your dealer and you can collect it upon payment of an excess of 125 € net (excl. VAT) or 1.000 € net (excl. VAT) for products of the Power Station product category.

    Original parts guaranteed

I need a spare part. What do I have to do?
To find the right spare part for your tool, you will need the exact device type and the part number (TNR). This information is provided on the type plate affixed directly onto your device and on your warranty documents. To order a specific spare part, please get in touch with our Festool customer hotline at Contact.
Important note for using spare parts:
Please note that all Festool tools should only be repaired by approved workshops for quality and safety reasons. We recommend that you request your repair directly with us. It is legally prescribed for a "safety inspection in accordance with employer's liability association DGUV regulations 3+4 and Guideline DIN VDE 0701/0702" to be carried out each time the housing is opened. This can only be done by a specially trained electrician. In many cases, special tools are also needed to ensure proper repair. Please note that all guarantee and warranty claims shall be rendered void as soon as any unauthorised repair attempts are carried out. We explicitly advise you not to carry out your own repairs.
Will spare parts no longer be available for my tool after the 10 years of guaranteed spare part availability?
For many tools, we keep spare parts in stock for significantly longer than 10 years after the end of production.
What happens if a spare part is no longer available within 10 years?
We guarantee that we will keep spare parts for your tool in stock for at least 10 years following the end of production. If we are unable to keep this promise, you will receive a new power tool as a replacement, free of charge.

Do you need additional help with Warranty all-inclusive?
